Charismatic Prayer Group
What is charismatic prayer?
The movement of Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church comes from the belief that each baptized person has the gifts of the Holy Spirit dwelling within them, which are then sealed at Confirmation. Charismatic prayer can help us learn to embrace the gifts that the Holy Spirit has for each of us.
What happens at a Charismatic Prayer Group meeting?
The Charismatic Prayer Group meets weekly to pray and share together. A typical meeting would include singing praise and worship music, praying, sharing of a poignant Scripture verse, the reading of psalms, hearing of a message, and discussion. In these gatherings, we follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to be the guide.
How can I get involved with the Charismatic Prayer Group at MDP?
We meet weekly on Monday nights from 7:30 – 9:00 PM. During this time of COVID-19, we are still meeting at our regular time via Zoom. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Claire in the office at 610-265-4178 or via email at cpinto@mdpparish.com.
