The philosophy of MDP School is to serve the families and entire Parish community by helping all students enrolled in our school fulfill their religious and educational potential. Our mission is to educate the whole child, so that each is better equipped to serve God, others, and self.

In carrying out the tasks of proclaiming the Good News and creating a spirit of community, we work in partnership with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, whose Policies and Procedures Handbook serves as a model for our own guiding principles and goals.

As a Parish Elementary School, MDP is responsible to the Archbishop of Philadelphia and to our Pastor. To carry out our philosophy of education, the following objectives have been established:

* To graduate students who are committed Christians, who witness to their Faith by their own examples

* To instill a wholesome respect for self and others

* To provide academic excellence throughout the curriculum

* To guide students toward self-control and positive behavior through the establishment of a specific Discipline Code

* To teach concern and provide opportunities of service to those in need

* To work with parents/guardians in mutual support and honest discernment to foster the kind of moral values that support social justice issues that will contribute to the future good of society.
